History

Having worked together for over a decade, Andrew Meyers and Marvin Straus formed Straus Meyers, LLP in 2018 with the goal of providing aggressive, cost effective representation while maintaining the utmost respect and appreciation for our clients.  

Marvin Straus began his career working for one of the largest insurers in the United States as defense counsel.  After years defending insureds he joined a small regional firm focusing on insurance defense and coverage.  In 2018 Marvin and Andrew Meyers formed Straus Meyers, LLP.

Andrew Meyers joined forces with Marvin Straus in 2007 in San Diego, CA.  From 2007 to 2018, Andrew and Marvin provided legal representation for some of the nation's largest and best insurers, large and small business, and individuals.  No matter the budget or complexity, each matter was provided with the utmost attention.  Over the course of ten short years, an office of two has grown to an office of multiple attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.  Desiring further growth potential and the ability to dynamically adapt to our clients' needs, in 2018 Straus Meyers, LLP was formed.

Marvin J. Straus

Marvin Straus has more than 24 years of experience representing insureds, insurers, corporations, and individuals. Within his practice, he has tried numerous jury trials to verdict, conducted hundreds of depositions, mediations, discovery motions, motions for summary judgment, as well as examinations under oath in large loss arson, property theft, auto, commercial, cargo, trucking, and specialty claims.  Marvin is known nationally as being thorough, approachable, and able to resolve conflict in highly unique ways.

Andrew S. Meyers

Andrew Meyers has more than 15 years of experience representing insurance companies as an attorney. He specializes in civil litigation defense, insurance coverage, Examinations Under Oath, bad faith defense litigation, breach of contract cases, and intellectual property prosecution.  Mr. Meyers experience in Examinations Under Oath has resulted in him being the national primary outside counsel for one of the largest insurers in the United States. Andrew is methodical in analyzing cases and claims and takes pride in remaining available to clients as much as possible. His experience has resulted in numerous multi-million dollar fraudulent claims being denied. Moreover in defending insured, his case strategy and guidance has resulted in efficient settlements, and case dismissals maximizing clients' resources and protecting the utmost interests of his clients.
